The rights of the people. hah...The freedoms of the Chinese people in comparison to the United States.
Academic freedomsAcademic freedom remains restricted when it comes to politically sensitive issues. The CCP has control over the appointment of top university officials. Majority of scholars even censor their own work to protect their careers. When two professors, from Beijing and Shanghai in 2013, publicly criticized the one-party rule of China, they were fired from their positions at prominent universities. Political indoctrination, or the process of teaching someone to accept political beliefs without question, is a required component of the curriculum at all levels of education in China. This is very different from the United States. The US allows for its students to ask questions and have their own beliefs on subjects, whether they are sensitive or not. Also, professors, students, and any citizen may proclaim their beliefs as a freedom of speech.
InternetChina’s population of internet is the world’s largest. Mobile-telephone users exceeded one billion, with about 500 million people accessing the internet on their phones. The government maintains an complex device for censoring and monitoring internet and phone communications. The government blocks websites or force the content they deem politically threatening to be deleted. Sometimes the Chinese government detains those who post such information. United States has more freedoms when it comes to the internet. The United States has social media like Twitter and Facebook, while in is blocked in China.
