The People's Republic of China is made up of three main branches, a legislative branch, an executive branch, and a judicial branch (like the United States). There are various groups within these branches, as will be explored below.

Legislative BranchThe Legislative Branch of China consists of the National People's Congress, the Central Military Commission, the Local People's Congress and Local People's Governments at Various Levels, as well as the Organs of Self-Government of National Autonomous Areas.
